How to Declare Your Employees for UFiling

The Unemployment Insurance Fund is urging employers to declare their workers on the UIF’s UFiling system. The UIF says that at least 444 327 Covid-19 Ters claims have not been processed due to employers not declaring their workers. This will turn your grid green. Once your grid is green, your declaration is successful. The UIF has paid more than R63 billion in Ters relief funds to 786 972 employers to distribute to their employees since March last year.

The Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) is urging employers to use the UFiling system to declare their employees.

According to the UIF, at least 444 327 Covid-19 Ters claims have not been processed as a result of employers failing to declare their employees.

Follow the steps below to declare your employees on the Ufliling system.
Step 1: Go to the UIF’s Ufling website, which is located at https://www.ufiling.co.za/uif/.
Step 2: To log in, enter your user name and password.
Step 3: Locate and click on the Declaration Manager tab.
Step 4: Select the employer’s name.
Step 5: Finally, click the View Declarations button. You can now see the value of the declarations for months.
Step 6: Select Open declaration.
Step 7: Select Edit View to correct any declaration issues.
Step 8: After resolving the declaration issues, click on View Declarations.
Step 9: You can view your UI-7 by clicking on view declaration, then UI-7.
Step 10: Click the Submit Declarations button to submit your declaration.
Step 11: Follow the on-screen instructions.
Step 12: Select Calculate Declarations from the drop-down menu. Your grid will turn green as a result of this. When your grid turns green, your declaration is complete.
