The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is in charge of distributing government funds to members of the public. To be eligible for an SASSA grant, you must be a South African citizen, permanent resident, or refugee. The grant you receive, however, is determined by your age and circumstances. SASSA provides a variety of social relief grants.
